AT THE LOCAL THEATERS

Garden—

"Uncle Tom's Cabin," a virile screen production of Harriet Beecher Stowe's famous story, featuring Irving Cummings as Harris, and Mary Eline, "The Thanhouser Kid," as little Eva, will be the leading attraction on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, John J. McGraw, leader of the New York Giants, will make his debut in filmdom in a new detective piece entitled "Detective Swift," said to be a whirlwind of thrilling and surprising incidents. The daily program will be further augmented by special single reel pictures featuring Mary Pickford, recent Keystone comedies, and other timely features. The Garden Symphony Orchestra will offer appropriate musical accompaniments.
