THE MOVING PICTURES.Symphony. The new Symphony Theater has scored a record by producing three sets of pictures in as many days. "Uncle Tom's Cabin" was selected for the week's play, but did not come up to expectations, and was changed to "Germania," a five-act filmization of the Franco-Prussian War of 1814. It also proved not up to standard, and was discarded for Dickens's "Chimes," which is meeting with big success. The Symphony changes its bill on Saturday. |
