From Things Theatrical

Buckley's.—These dark-eyed funny fellows are doing a great business at the Chinese buildings. These entertainments have long since been a feature in the world of amusement, and when people want to enjoy a hearty laugh, in spite of themselves, they will go here. The blues vanish before the blacks, that is to say before the delineators of the genuine darkies.

Wood's —Are also securing for themselves a good share of the public patronage; performances are filled with fun, and all their choruses are well sung and their jokes and witticisms well told. To be certain of good entertainments at all times go here.
