From Things Theatrical
Christy, Woods, and Buckley's Minstrels, continue their excellent and interesting performances, as usual, and to well-filled houses. The love of this kind of entertainment seems to be increasing; three companies receiving so much patronage as to keep them here almost exclusively. They have done much to cultivate our musical taste, and to lead the people to higher musical notions. The operatic burlesque at Woods', called "The Rival Cupids," is well worth hearing. The music is chosen with taste, and the incidents are very amusing.
