UNCLE TOM'S CABIN IN WELSH.—With the consent of Mrs. Stowe, Rev. Robert Everett (editor of the Cenhadwr, organ of the Welsh Congregationalists in the U.S.), is about to translate and publish this death-blow on slavery for the benefit of the 100,000 Welsh emigrants scattered over this country. Mr. E. is a fine scholar, and a warm friend of the oppressed, and we have no doubt that "Uncle Tom" in his Welsh dress, strong and beautiful, will make a fine appearance and gain thousands of friends among the descendants of Prince Llewelyn, and Owen Glenddwr. |
