  ...GARRET, DICK & FITZGERALD have got out a volume called "Tit for Tat," a novel, by a Lady of New Orleans, which we learn has met with a large circulation in the South. It is in the nature of a reply to "Uncle Tom's Cabin," and we gather from the Introduction that it deals mainly with social abuses in England.
