Paper Dolls

These paper dolls with the seven removable outfits were made and sold by a New York City firm called McLoughlin Bros. around 1865. They came in this paper envelope (click to enlarge):
If you enlarge the outfits below you'll see that in every case but the middle dress there could be no doubt which outfits went with which girl, but the ambiguity about that one outfit is interesting.
